Hey Everyone, I just wanted to post a little note explaining where Game Bage Review Show 5 is real quick.

I’ve heard it said that “May you live in interesting times.” is an old Chinesse curse. I honestly don’t know if it is or not…but it should be. I’ve had quite enough interesting to last me a lifetime, and still it continues. Having my scheduled vacation messed with wasn’t enough for the powers that be. Then toss in an unplanned move and the upheaval that has cause.(Like sucking up every spare moment while I’m home to pack-up the last two decades of my life and revisit the two before that.) But then, when I finally had some free time on the road, I was recording the show and Audacity ATE THE DAMN THING WHOLE!!! I either have to re-record it or try to reconstuct it from the temporary files. (Six seconds at a time!) So needless to say, the show will have to be re-recorded as soon as I can.

This period is not without some good things happening. Mrs. Camera Guy found a great place for us to hang our hats for the next year while we get ready to move down south and we will be moving in June 1st. The show has moved up the charts on iTunes. (Which makes this delay particularlly annoying) And my little filk side project is starting to take off. With a couple of recent appearences over on the Mad Music Archive’s Top 20 Countdown. I’ve also started a page on this site for the CD project I have going on. If you want to check it out you can click here. And I know it’s not much, but there is a brand new song there for my listeners that was recorded BEFORE my computer trouble today. It’s called “Dwarven Mine”

This is the April edition of my “all-music” show. This is my musical tribute to E. Gary Gygax. You will be missed, sir. And I tell the story of my OCD and where this show and my new song came from. There is also another musical tribute to Mr. Gygax over at the blog Hipster, Please! if you want to check it out. (Warning: Not work or kid safe.)

Keep in mind that my bit-rate is not really music quality, so if you enjoy the songs you might want to visit the artist’s website for a better copy of it. Or better yet buy the CD that the song is on so you can listen to all the other cool music on it. All the songs in this episode are available as MP3 downloads or streaming on the various artist’s websites. So honestly, go check them out.

This is the March edition of my “all-music” show. It‘s DJ choice month (Since it‘s my birthday, after all), but themes creep into the show anyway. I guess even chaos has order in it if you look hard enough.

I want to thank George Hrab for providing the new theme for WGPR and Marc Gunn over at The Renaissance Festival Podcast for spreading the word that we’re looking for more bands for the show.

I know I was hoping to get Episode 12 posted by now, but between the Holidays and the continuing issue of my Internet access on the road (I would not recomend SiriCom to anyone at this point, by the way.) I just havn’t been able to do the prep work to get Episode 12 put together. I promise that I will as soon as I can, but it will depend on the satalite dispute being settled or my having a day off at one of my company’s facilities. Just keep in mind that I am not going away and that I am very frustrated at this disruption of my production schedule. I hope you all had a safe and happy Holiday.

This is the October edition of my “all-music” show. I tried to fill it with Halloween themed music, but I was a little short so I tossed in some pirate tunes to round out the show. (There’s lots of pirates around at costume parties, right?)

Keep in mind that my bitrate is not really music quality, so if you enjoy the songs you might want to visit the artist’s website for a better copy of it. Or better yet buy the CD that the song is on so you can listen to all the other cool music on it. All the songs in this episode are available as MP3 downloads or streaming on the various artist’s websites. So honestly, go check them out.

You don’t know Jack - The Great Luke Ski, Jolly Rogets - Rob Balder, Talk like a Pirate Day - Tom Smith, Wannabe a Slayer- The Great Luke Ski featuring Chemele as ‘the Spike Girls’, Angel’s Lament - Brobdingnagian Bards.
