Sorry to hear about the theft. I have friends already booking for DC next year. I saving for Hero Con next year, but if PAX comes to the east coast as planned, You'll find me there.
You mentioned about farming in games, and like you I don't see a reason for it but if that's the way you game go for it. Now those peeps that make money selling gold are annoying. I don't apperciate being spammed. CoH has gotten some control over direct spamming so you only have to weed through 100 in game emails. Aion on the other hand being the new game on the block... Every other general broadcast or whisper is selleing cheap gold...(not even the right term for the game) That is annoying and does interfere with my game play because I'm missing chat and whispers. Spammers deserved to be sacked.
kk feel better now, awesome show guys.

Doh! Listening to the second part of the recap I remembered that I wanted to comment on this part.

This will be my FOURTH try after the first three got eaten by my browser some time ago each with a session timeout.

Don't worry... I'm up to date with Wandering Geek (even the latest episode), the 30+ hours are currently down to 20-25 hours and are from all of my about 100 subscribed podcasts.

Regarding my "Earthcore as a 4e adventure" project, this is still major vaporware, but if I get enough feedback on my blog (so far it's absolutely NONE) I will certainly expand this idea.

As a new listener to the show I was excited when you posted this. Unfortunately the sound quality is just too bad that I cannot follow the dialog of whats being said. I tried to run the mp3 through some filters but to no avail. Not sure if there is anything you can do to the source to improve and cut the background noise.

Thanks for the reviews of Cluzzle and Wits & Wagers! And good reviews to boot! First of all, I wanted to clarify that Cluzzle is not available at Target, although it is available at Target.com. The Wits & Wagers for the Xbox will be online starting in early May.

Although it may seems young kids would find this game hard, I have played with a few 10 year old, and they loved it, even asking to play the game repeatedly. Sometimes they even win! Even kids younger than 10 enjoy the game. Our website, www.northstargames.com, has testimony to that effect.

The game can work with teams of up to 6 or so, but in your home that would be a bit unruly, and you would have to have a ginormous home (maybe you do). So we figured teams of 3 is best for play at home. Just make sure to keep everyone beholden to the timer!

Oh, and to wet your whistle, we will have a 'travel trivia' version of Wits & Wagers coming out in November (hopefully!). You will definitely have to review that one!

You mentioned food during conventions and I go to Origins nearly every year. I thought this tip would be helpful. Since Origins is in a larger city there is a city guide web site that has all sorts of local info. What I use it for is finding cheaper, very tasty food. Here's the one for Columbus.

http://experiencecolumbus.com/dine-here.cfm

I'm sure Indianapolis has a similar site with local attractions and restaurants as well.

How did you manage the backing tracks... actual musicians, multi-track recording, or clever software?

Hi'ya Curt -

Sorry for the sound quality of the interview. I guess next time we'll have to use Skype, Ventrilo or something else instead of trying to record through a cell phone. :)

And see? I even managed to get through a whole interview without using a curse word! Well, unless you consider "kick ass" as swearing.

The "direct to DVD" Blade seems to be the uncut version of the pilot of the tv series that aired last year on Spike.
The series wasn't too bad, there are far worse series on the air right now.

Some time in the future, I really have to get to a Con in the US, but the next two big events for me would be the Book Fair in Frankfurt and the SPIEL in Essen.

Keep up the good work, the show is entertaining and informative as ever.

The “direct to DVD” Blade seems to be the uncut version of the pilot of the tv series that aired last year on Spike.
The series wasn’t too bad, there are far worse series on the air right now.

Some time in the future, I really have to get to a Con in the US, but the next two big events for me would be the Book Fair in Frankfurt and the SPIEL in Essen.

Keep up the good work, the show is entertaining and informative as ever.

Yes! Peabody and Sherman. I knew those names and the context of why I was remembering them with crystal clear and perfect accuracy . . . about 12 hours after the interview was over. :P - RADF is an award winning podcast isn't it? Or at least when I was listening to it last year it was nominated for an award? I should just go look it up. Wonderful work regardless. Always a good time! And while I’m here, A Thank you again to Curt for inviting me onto his Show!

<You're quite welcome Anim. It was nice talking to you. - Curt>

Hello-

Evil Mastermind, Dr. Steve from the Radio Adventures of Dr. Floyd here. I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for mentioning MY show on your show.

And the names you were looking for is Peabody and Sherman. And, yes, Dr. Floyd shamelessly ripped off his show idea from them! That's just the kind of nimcompoop he is!

ANyway, thanks again for the mention.

Stay Rotten,

Dr. Steve

P.S. Fidgert says, "Hello!"

Thank you for the great Radio. Being here in the Dominican Republic I dont have many ways to "get my geek on" but this podcast and the music helps me to have my daily fix. Also if you continue on with this segment I wont be one to complain. Take care and have a wonderful day.

Thanks... Yesterday when I was "powering up" in Guild Wars (still doing pre-searing quests) I had WGR as the background music and while I recognised many songs from FUMP, Song of the Day or other sources, I discovered some "new" songs.
Five Years has to be the best B5 compilation I know of.

I'm really looking forward to further shows like these.
The "themes" for the blocks of music also were great. Definitely something to keep.

Just one point... You might want to limit shows to 74-80 minutes. I know that many people listen to shows on (audio) cd players and if they don't have mp3 support the show won't fit.

Just FYI: Infested is the new title of Infection, which will be renamed for print (and movie) because there'll be another book (or movie?) with the name Infection out and Randon House doesn't want people to confuse those two.

While I'd like to check out City of Heroes/Villains, this will probably be more trouble than it's worth (since I am here in Germany and would probably only get german versions of the game) and I just won't risk that I really like it and will spend monthly fees for a game I will then probably play once or twice per month (if that much).

Now, continuing to number 2
